Arroyo & Company is pleased to announce the sale of the Nut Tree Shopping Center, a portion of the 98-acre master plan featuring 395,000 square feet of retail, 140,000 square feet of office 216 multifamily units, a 220 room hotel, and a 30,000 square foot convention center. The Nut Tree, “California’s Legendary Road Stop,” has been a household name in Northern California since 1921.
The Nut Tree is located in Vacaville, which is equidistant to San Francisco and Sacramento. The property is adjacent to Interstate 80, with nearly ½ a mile of freeway frontage and average traffic counts of 149,000 vehicles per day. Approximately 331,000 square feet of retail and office were included in this phase of the transaction. The center is anchored by Sports Chalet, Best Buy, HomeGoods, PetSmart, Old Navy, ULTA, and BevMo.
The buyer, a Texas based firm making its first California acquisition, was represented by Pedro Arroyo and David Kram of the Arroyo Commercial Group. The property was sold by a California based developer. This transaction is one of the largest retail closings in California in 2012.
